Human trafficking can happen ANYWHERE! Human trafficking includes both labor and sex trafficking. Some areas of where labor trafficking occurs are nail salons, factories, janitorial jobs, construction sites, farms, restaurants and hotels. Sex trafficking can take place in massage parlors, truck stops, strip clubs, military bases, modeling studios and on the internet. |

How To Respond |
If you think you have met a victim of human trafficking, call local enforcement or call the human trafficking hotline at 1-888-3737-888. But, DO NOT try to be a hero. This not only puts you in danger, but also the alleged victim. |

Proclamations |
As part of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, representatives of the Pitt County Coalition Against Human Trafficking are visiting local town and county governments to discuss human trafficking and accept proclamations from each entity declaring January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month. |
