A woman who was fatally shot by her husband on Sunday night had recently tried to get an order of protection against him.
Taylor McFadden Robinson, 29, was found dead Sunday morning in her home on Rice Planters Lane in Florence, South Carolina.
Duncan Allen Robinson, Jr.,31, has been charged with murder, first-degree burglary and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He allegedly also burglarized the home.
The victim’s sister, Anastasia McFadden, spoke during Robinson’s bond hearing Monday morning at the Florence City Courthouse. She said that her sister had tried to get an order of protection against her husband but wasn’t allowed.
“She was a mother, a sister, a successful entrepreneur, my very best friend. The system has failed us. My sister asked for a restraining order and the judge denied it. Please do not allow the system to fail us again,” said McFadden.
McFadden was working hard at building a career in real estate. She was also a mother to two sons.
“She was all about her boys. Anybody knew she was all about them. Very involved with them. You know, all over her Facebook page, that’s all you saw. Her and her boys,” said Fulton.
Robinson is scheduled to be autopsied at the Medical University of South Carolina Friday morning.
