  Yadkin Bank donated $1,750 to Hyde County Hotline Inc., in  November.

Kathy Ballance, executive director of Hyde County Hotline, received the check from Stuart L. Bell, market president for Yadkin Bank, and Lori Gibbs branch manager for Yadkin Bank’s Engelhard. Yadkin Bank selected Hyde County Hotline, a local non-profit to receive $1,750 as a part of the bank’s efforts to assist community-based programs further their goals of directly impacting local residents in positive ways.

Hyde County Hotline,Inc., is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to work to eliminate domestic abuse and sexual victimization and to provide safe shelter through the collaborative efforts of a compassionate community. The Agency promotes dignity, respect and safety at home, resulting in safer communities. Ballance expressed her deepest gratitude to Yadkin Bank for their generosity and consistent support of the program.  The donation will be used as a part of Hotline’s ongoing efforts to assist families with trauma receive in formed services including crisis intervention, court and hospital advocacy, support groups, therapeutic counseling safety planning, shelter, financial planning and assistance, and other related services, Ballance said.”A portion of this donation will also be used toward providing Christmas assistance to families in need,” she added.

The ultimate goal of Hyde County Hotline is for the families of Hyde County to be restored to health and wholeness, free of violence and trauma-related emotional, psychological and physical injury, Ballance explained. ” Yadkin Bank has been a key partner in helping us achieve these goals since the program began in 2009.” Ballance said. ” This recent donation is another example of Yadkin Bank’s commitment to the communities they serve.”

The check presentation was at the Engelhard branch of Yadkin Bank.
